As a Coach or Manager, I will adhere to the following:
- I will refrain from unacceptable or unsportsmanlike behavior including swearing or abusive language, harassment, or aggressive behaviour. This behaviour will not be tolerated.
- I will condemn all violent or illegal acts, whether they are by athletes, coaches, officials, parents, or spectators.
- I will respect an official’s decisions. I will not complain or argue about decisions during or after a game.
- I will actively discourage foul play and/or unsportsmanlike behaviour by players, parents, and fans.
- I will not ridicule or scorn an athlete for making a mistake. I will respect their efforts.
- I will participate in positive cheering that encourages athletes I am supporting. I will not engage in cheering that taunt or intimidates opponents, their fans, or officials.
- I will ensure a sports environment for my athletes that is free from drugs, tobacco, and alcohol, and I will refrain from their use at all sports events.
- I will promote the emotional and physical well-being of the athletes ahead of any personal desire to win.
- I will seek to maximize the participation and enjoyment of all players regardless of their ability.
- I will show concern and caution toward all sick and injured players. I will follow the advice of a physician when determining when an injured athlete is ready to recommence training or competing.
- I am responsible for my behavior, and I will conduct myself, at all times, in a manner that is respectful towards players, officials, opponents, and fans.
Failure to comply with this code of conduct may result in disciplinary action.
